Not an easy look to pull off. Models do it, sure, but let’s not pretend that what models wear is easily transferrable to the non-models. Popstars do denim on denim all time too. But pop stars are meant to be outrageous. It goes with the persona.
How, then, do you manage denim on denim if outrageous isn’t necessarily the goal?
Dark denim on denim?
Look at Isabelle Huppert. There’s nothing outrageous here about Isabelle in dark denim on denim over a red shirt over a blue turtleneck. SO good, right?
Because the dark denim can sort of just look like a dark suit.
I still don’t know if I could/would try it. This is, after all, Isabelle Huppert.
