Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez have been mansion-hunting for a few months now. A couple of months back they apparently found one but then backed out but now there are moving trucks all over the place and it appears that they’ll be living together on a massive estate. I mean, it was always going to be a massive estate, wasn’t it? My question is how stressful the move will be. Is moving as stressful for celebrities as it is for us? I know they can hire people to do all the sh-t but at the same time, there are some decisions that you can’t delegate – like what to keep and what to get rid of. That in itself is a f-cking headache. I don’t know why I watched this but I did and I regret it because I am weakened by COVID and worried about the longterm effects of this f-cker on my body and whether or not I’ll ever be able to do a plank again, let alone a plank challenge and here are the Beckhams engaging in what looks like a pretty inventive way to get through a plank and I can barely walk up the stairs. I really like this dress on Kaley Cuoco and while I’m not an expert in her style, I don’t think it’s a silhouette we see often on her? She looks great. Not sure I’m into the shoe choice though. I mean it’s fine, it’s a plain black shoe so no crimes are being committed but there’s room here for some imagination. (Go Fug Yourself)
Yesterday our friends at Celebitchy posted about why they haven’t been doing daily articles about the Johnny Depp and Amber Heard trial. Our reason here is the same. I have seen some of your messages over email and social media wondering why – and like the writers at Celebitchy, I’m just not interested in being harassed by the Depp bots and trolls. Not just for my sake but for the sake of our contributors and Emily, our site manager, who manages the general LaineyGossip mailbox and already has to deal with all kinds of viciousness that regularly comes in, ranging from insults to threats to all kinds of graphic sh-t that no one should have to deal with at work. That may not be enough of a justification for you, and you are welcome to your opinion, but it’s more than enough justification for me. The mental health of the people I care about is enough justification for me. Our intention was always to wait until the verdict before we would consider commenting at length on the situation. And then the jury delivered its verdict this week, with both me and Emily down with COVID and Sarah committed to other projects. Melayna has pitched a piece and we are working through it and will be spending the weekend trying to get it in shape hopefully for Monday. (Cele|bitchy)
Why am I just finding out now that there’s a Sweets and Snacks Expo? It is now my goal for 2023 to go to the Sweets and Snacks Expo and basically spend the rest of my life there! The expo apparently tells us what the new trends in snacks will be and what we’re supposed to expect over the coming year is…a marshmallow trend. Like s’mores. Can’t say I’m super jacked up about this. Is it because I hate camping or is it because I’m not big on marshmallows? Yes, I said what I said. I am not big on marshmallows. Or cotton candy. Sugar for the sake of sugar isn’t my thing. I need texture, I need surprise. There’s nothing surprising about marshmallows. You know what I am desperate to try though?
