This is such a good outfit on Jennifer Connelly. It’s so her, I have always enjoyed her in Nicolas Ghesquiere’s work from Balenciaga and now at Louis Vuitton, and it suits the movie, but also … you could say it’s tennis core too, lol, which is very much on trend. That jacket is like a windbreaker. (GoFugYourself)

In yesterday’s site open I posted about sitting next to people who kept filming and TikToking while watching Challengers and ended on Kathleen’s empathy for this generation of people who can’t live, even for two hours, away from their phones. Today I read Dustin Rowles’s post about a new book called The Anxious Generation that exposes the damage that’s been done to young people from having so much access to smartphones and social media. Like to the point where Gen Z has a hard time ordering food at a restaurant because they don’t have enough experience engaging with in-person interactions. So, yes, of course, parents and educators and, well, everyone should be concerned and more aware – but for the purposes of this site and what I comment on, gossips should also be concerned, long ago. Because these are the same people taking over gossip on TikTok with their “takes” on celebrity stories. (Pajiba)

Jerry Seinfeld is making headlines because he’s grumbling about comedy, like so many of his other aging comedian friends, and how it’s not the same anymore, something something people are too politically correct. Rob McElhenney just told him about himself. But this situation actually reminded me that Jerry is 70 years old now. I always think of him as permanently in his 50s. (Uproxx)

I was today year’s old when I first learned of a kids’ show called Bluey that’s apparently very popular – and not just with kids but with dogs? People online are reporting that their dogs are watching alongside the children. I will be testing this out with our dogs tonight. And I know that somehow they will find a way to disappoint me, even though I don’t actually know what the desired outcome is. Beagles … are never accommodating. (Celebitchy)

We aren’t fighting about Shōgun, right? It’s the best, we’re all obsessed, no spoilers for those of you have just started but, like, the series is the best of 2024 so far – and you’ve watched it, you know it. So now it’s time to appreciate producer Eriko Miyagawa whose interpretation work is a huge part of Shōgun’s success. (Vulture)
