Worst MET Try: Jessica Pare

Here’s how Duana described Jessica Pare’s MET Gala look to me over email:

“Jessica Pare. Stitches.”

It is indeed funny. And it’s supposed to be fun, but not funny. Like, the desired reaction is not to be laughed at. And that’s happening here because while too many went under-punk, Pare ended up TRY Punk. Which is arguably the antithesis of punk. Between the eye-shadow and the peplum and the half skirt and the pants and goddamn, maybe the worst shoes of the night, this was too much “oh, honey, no”... and a great example of the fine line between having it, and not.
