Dear Gossips,

In March 2023 Jimin’s “Like Crazy” from his debut solo album FACE became the first song by a Korean solo artist to debut at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Nine months later, Jimin enlisted for mandatory military service and he’s not scheduled to be discharged until next June.

But, as we all well know now, military service has not stopped BTS from continuing to keep us entertained. There have been SO MANY albums, new tracks, photos, videos, tours and more since BTS paused group activities so that they could all meet their national requirement.

Jimin just dropped his second album, MUSE, and a video for the song “WHO” and it is a bop! No doubt why he and his team chose this as the lead single. “WHO” is pure, a chorus that's instantly a sing-along, and also not surprising… these visuals.

Jimin is so graceful, such a gorgeous dancer, but he can also go hard when required, and this choreography sets up perfectly for his body lines, his fluidity, I love this part in the video where the girls and the guys are circling each other.

It’s the way he seems like he takes flight on certain grooves, how light he is on his feet but also firmly centered, and the fit of those jeans! Wearing the sh-t out of those jeans! You can see them really well here:

All of this of course was completed last year, before Jimin went into service, including his upcoming appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Monday which Jimmy announced earlier this week. Also on Jimin’s schedule – a new travel show with Jungkook premiering on Disney+ on August 8 called Are You Sure?!

From 2016-2019, BTS filmed four seasons of a docuseries called Bon Voyage that featured all seven members’ experience in different locations around the world: Norway, Sweden, Finland, Hawaii, Malta, and New Zealand. I’ve watched every episode of Bon Voyage, it’s some of my favourite BTS content. They are chaotic and ridiculous when they’re enjoying downtime together and discovering new places, and they aren’t super bougie about it either. They're cooking and cleaning and grocery shopping and sometimes camping, and none of it comes across as super deluxe which is part of the charm. Presumably, then, Are You Sure?! will be a similar vibe, only with two stars instead of seven.

Seriously, though, imagine how busy they all must have been before heading to military service? This output is wild!

Yours in gossip,

Lainey
