Joe Manganiello and his new girlfriend, Caitlin O’Connor, are now red carpet official. I’m probably going to get in trouble for saying this but the dress she’s wearing looks like something Sofia Vergara would have worn to the Golden Globes in 2008. (Cele|bitchy)
Netflix has finally confirmed a release date for Bridgerton season three and… it’s not soon. March! Heaving bosoms will have to wait until March. And they’re also doing the thing where they’re splitting the season into two which, I guess, according to their mystery data, ensures subscriber retention? (The Mary Sue)
The Fug Girls are saying that this fit on Jessica Chastain is giving a little Mrs Roper which made me laugh because that reference is for a certain generation. TikTok users, for example, are not going to pick up on Mrs Roper. I personally don’t see much Mrs Roper happening here but at first this outfit did frighten me because I thought the skirt was pants…and as polarising as I am about clothes, I couldn’t f-ck with this if it were pants. (Go Fug Yourself)
When I was on holiday a couple of weeks ago, Matt Rife was making headlines for his controversial comedy. Over in Hong Kong my first reaction was… how did Kate Beckinsale’s ex-boyfriend become a comedian? This is how he will forever be known to me, especially now that I’ve read this essay about how he’s sh-t at his new job. (Pajiba)
Uproxx has listed its Best Songs of 2023 and I’m thrilled to say NewJeans’s “Super Shy” on the list as well as Jungkook, although I don’t think “Seven” ft Latto is the strongest track on his album. It has to be “Standing Next To You”, non? (Uproxx)
One more note on JK and BTS… ARMY sent all seven of them to the army with a gift. Their song “Spring Day”, released in 2017, has just soared to the top of the iTunes charts in like 80 countries, including the United States. “Spring Day” is about missing our friends. And ARMY is so in their feelings right now they’ve pushed it to the top, over and above Mimi’s “All I Want For Christmas”… at this time of year! This is one of the band’s signature songs, maybe even their signature song. I am CRYING.
