The Daily Show is taping from Washington all week leading up to the Rally to Restore Sanity on Saturday. Want to go. Won’t be going. If you’re going I’m jealous. Anyway, timely enough, Jon Stewart has also just been named the Most Influential Man of the Year, according to AskMen.com after half a million votes.

Stewart finished in top spot over Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg. There are only 3 entertainers in the top 10: Kanye #5 and James Franco #7. Click here for the full list. I love that dudes mancrush on Jon Stewart. I mean, it’s not news, but I love it all the same.

You know there’s been some backlash re: the rally, as there inevitably will be – click here for an example and here for a summary - about whether or not Stewart is actually becoming too “earnest”, that his irreverence is being lost in mock (or not) activism. I have no idea how I feel about this right now. Nor do I think I will know until it actually happens. What if he just gets up on stage and says “wake the f-ck up” and then leaves?
