Keri Russell has shown up a lot in this space over the last year. I have loved so many of her outfits. I think she’s also been the Outfit of the Week. This dress could have been an OOTW. Except it’s the Emmys tonight. And she’s nominated. And she is one of the women we’re waiting for on the carpet. I already know that Duana will be calling Keri in her column when we figure out our assignments. I am prepared to fight her for it.
But first, this little black dress… is exquisite.
What a great way to mutate the sweetheart neckline – with a spike! This is why I’m not mad at the neutral makeup. If she had chosen a bold lip, which may have been the compulsion, it would have been too much. The spike on that one side IS the bold lip. It’s like a blood red lip. It’s a dark smoky eye. It does the work of all of that.
And also! The pockets!
