Lady Gaga has issued a statement about R Kelly. She apologises for her poor judgement and says she will be pulling the song from iTunes and other streaming platforms. Which is probably why the song just entered the top 20 on iTunes. Because people are trying to download it before it disappears. And that’s another layer of frustration. I’m sure you’ve heard about how since Surviving R Kelly aired, there’s been a huge increase in his music streams. So after all this, there are still supporters out there. Which is why, while it shouldn’t be, as we’ve seen, this is a complicated situation that many people are still trying to process, including me. And I wrote yesterday in this space, I’m trying to read and learn as much as I can before we address it, either here or on the podcast. (Dlisted)

We will definitely be discussing Patty Jenkins and Chris Pine’s joint interview in Variety on the next podcast episode of Show Your Work though. Definitely. This is SO good. And it’s this interview, above all else, that’s the strongest case for Chris Pine being the Best Chris. (Cele|bitchy)

I really, really like the idea of this look on Sarah Paulson. Everything is great. The hair, the earrings, the other accessories, the coat, the colours on the dress. I just… why did it have to be made in this particular material? This was custom Prada. Do you think there were other fabric options? I’ll never understand how people look at that shiny business and think it’s luxe. (Go Fug Yourself)

Jake Gyllenhaal has a new movie coming out on Netflix. I’m sure it’ll be good. Jake almost always does good work. Here’s my problem with his costume though – it’s so ridiculous, it almost looks like it’s a joke. Like what someone would look like in a sketch on Saturday Night Live…right? Maybe it’s the way he’s standing there, in that particular scene, with the hair and the glasses in the dark suit and his hand by his mouth. At first I thought it was a joke. It is not a joke. And this is the same team that brought up Nightcrawler, which was an excellent film. Also, Rene Russo! (Pajiba)

I can’t find anything to sh-t on here. In fact, I think it’s super cute that Cole Sprouse and KJ Apa are actually for real close and not just close for publicity to promote Riverdale. Otherwise they wouldn’t be on holiday together, right? (TMZ)

As we’ve seen, it’s a wide open Oscar race. The tighter the race, the dirtier the race. And it’s not like there wasn’t backlash against Green Book before the Golden Globes. Now that Green Book was named Best Picture Musical/Comedy at the Globes, that backlash has been amplified. What movie will benefit from it? (The Ringer)
