F1 qualifying is happening as I’m writing this. So my eyes are on Italy right now – one eye on the qualifying times in Monza and the other on the photo agencies and social media for Bennifer’s arrival on the red carpet in Venice. Right now, Lewis Hamilton is in his car, on the track, hoping to be in the first row for F1 Sprint tomorrow.
Here are some shots of Lewis from yesterday though, in a white puffer, doing some press before race weekend, joined by his usual companion, his bulldog Roscoe.
I love that this is Roscoe’s normal – being in a race environment, the cars everywhere, the tires everywhere, people rushing around on headsets, and Roscoe’s just part of that world too. It’s not unusual for anyone on the circuit to see Roscoe padding around the place. After all, his human is the sport’s biggest star. Roscoe, however, just might be the most pampered one though, even in F1, which is an expensive sport, a luxury sport.
Check him being carried around by Lewis yesterday:
And my favourite, Roscoe taking a nap while Lewis is doing an interview:
Back to Lewis though and his Italian Grand Prix wardrobe. Looks like he’s keeping it light and white this weekend because this is today’s outfit, ahead of qualifying:
You see the detailed beading on this denim set? Zoom in closer and you’ll see he’s wearing pearls around his neck. I f-cking love his style. So I wonder whether or not he’ll make it to the Met Gala on Monday. He’s attended several times in the past, most recently in 2019:
My favourite part of that look was the headband:
Fashion, obviously, is not on Lewis’s mind right now. He and Max Verstappen are in a tight race for the drivers championship. Oh, I just checked the results – spoiler alert.
Bottas P1, Lewis P2, and Verstappen P3 tomorrow for the Sprint.
