Lily Gladstone hasn’t been able to campaign for Killers of the Flower Moon because of the strike, which sucks, because in a non-strike year, she would be front and center. She was, however, at the TIME100 event last night and while this isn’t an official award season stop, it can work for the season right now for the visibility. She is so thoughtful about her clothing and I hope we get to see more of it.
Stephanie Hsu was also at the gala and she gave a toast that really resonates with me in these times. See below. (Go Fug Yourself)
Song Joong-ki is very popular in the East. Those of us who watch K-dramas should be very familiar with him. He starred in one of the most widely watched series, Descendants of the Sun, a few years ago and it people around the world were obsessed. He’s a good actor, he’s very good-looking, and it turns out he’s been auditioning for projects outside of Korea for a while… and admits humbly that he’s “failed” every time. I really don’t know what the problem is for international casting directors. This man has a very healthy fan base and he can do the job! (Next Shark)
There’s a lot of disinformation out there about Jonathan Majors’s domestic violence case. A headline surfaced yesterday that the NYPD was about to arrest his victim or something. But Variety has now reported that that’s not true and that, in fact, the Manhattan DA’s office is alleging that Jonathan’s team is leaking false information. And if your mind goes to that crazy ass video of him that just happened to blow up online recently of Jonathan breaking up a high school fight… it SHOULD. (Cele|bitchy)
Ugh. The NHL and their stupid f-cking Pride Tape ban and now they’ve reversed it which is a good thing in the end and I do want to acknowledge that this can be an example of how leadership can be improved by recognising that the wrong decision was made and doing something about it. But this league and their repeated f-ckery when it’s not like the sport has had a good reputation over the last few years. (OMG Blog)
I love this piece by Craig Jenkins on Drake and Bad Bunny in their villain era. (Vulture)
