Lily Gladstone was honored as the National Board of Review’s Best Actress for Killers of the Flower Moon. She had a busy day yesterday, appearing on The Today Show in the morning, and at the NBR Gala that night. Let’s talk about her looks, starting with the AMAZING yellow coat she wore into the studio for The Today Show.
I MEAN. LOOK AT IT.
The color, the pattern, the fluff of the collar and cuffs, it’s stellar.
On the show itself she wore a white dress and yet another pair of cool, Indigenous-designed earrings. She talked about her parents’ support of her passion for performing, and Hoda can’t get over Lily’s parents driving 180 miles roundtrip for ballet lessons. I’m not downplaying the distance, but this is one of those things that tells me a person has never lived anywhere more remote than a suburb. Have you been to Montana? Nothing is close.
Coming out of the studio, Lily changed into a different white dress and a Barbie pink coat. It’s a nice look, and I would probably be more excited about it had she not just worn that AMAZIIIIIINNNNG yellow coat.
At the NBR Gala, she was one of the many people to opt for a black dress, but hers was distinguished with metal mesh sleeves. All around, a big day for Lily, as Oscar nominations are underway, which she started out just right with that yellow coat which I will never get over.
