Love Island’s new queen, Ariana Madix, who I now adore, is addressing speculation about what tweaks she’s had done to her face. Speaking of tweaks, I’ve still not been able to book my trip to Korea where I’m planning to buy my new face because their sh-t is the best, they’re probably at least five years ahead of North America and everyone I know who’s gone there to do it says it’s so much more reasonably priced. When, not if, but when I go I will report back. (Celebitchy)
Alexis Smith is the new Miss Kansas and she’s making headlines and going viral, not just because she won the crown, but because during the competition she did something so powerful and so brave, at what must have been the most stressful time. And she did it to amplify her purpose which is to protect survivors of abuse and eliminate abusive relationships. It’s an extraordinary moment, you must watch if you haven’t already. (The Mary Sue)
There are apparently fake And Just Like That filming notices all over New York with absurd story details that, well, might not be that absurd because some of the storylines are kinda wonky? This is love, though, isn’t it? Like I’m pretty sure this isn't happening out of hate – it’s a different kind of energy with hate. When you hate a show you go online and bitch about it with other people from the comfort of your couch. When you love a show you actually leave your house, print flyers on coloured paper, and post them all over town. (Pajiba)
Violeta posted earlier today about Simone Biles. And now Teen Vogue is profiling Jordan Chiles. Seriously can’t wait to watch alllll the gymnastics during the Olympics. But like the Fug Girls I also have notes about this magazine shoot. Specifically the cover photo with Jordan in red. The outfit is fine, but maybe not in that pose? Because the way the lighting is hitting her anchor leg, the one on the ground, in those tights, it looks like her leg might be slightly bent, which is impossible for a first class athlete like Jordan. Glen Powell is a hunk and he plays a storm chaser in Twisters, a movie. In real life there exists a storm chaser in New York City who is a hunk too. (The Cut)
