On Monday night in Vancouver, a car jumped the curb and crashed into lawyer Rachel Blarsky and her friend. Rachel has a “severely fractured pelvis, hip fracture, back fracture, some internal bleeding, and two broken fingers”. She’s had surgery and will require extensive rehabilitation. Rachel is a longtime LGBTQ+ ally, volunteers for the Innocence Project, the Vancouver Bar Association, and the Criminal Defence Advocacy Society. You can learn more about her work here. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help with the cost of her recovery so that she can heal and get back to the important work that she’s been doing. Get well soon, Rachel!
