Earlier this year, Jeremy Renner partnered with Amazon to promote a list of camping products, or fishing, I can’t remember. Then it was Jennifer Lawrence’s wedding registry recommendations. More and more celebrities are putting together themed shopping lists on Amazon and, as we’ve seen, it’s not just B and C level stars. These are top tier names. The latest?
Mariah Carey, the Queen of Christmas, has come out with her “must-haves” for the holidays and of course it’s not the products themselves that are interesting but her little notes about why she chose them that are the scream. Like this one, to go along with the tea set:
“If you know me, you know how much I love good tea! Find your tea, dahhlings!”
That’s her voice, you know it’s her voice. So either she wrote these herself or the ghostwriter did an excellent job. Because the Mimi vocabulary is well-represented, with “festive” popping up a few times and, yes, making “good lighting” a priority to showcase the vanity mirror she has on the list.
My favourite item on the list is the Christmas kitchen apron because… AS IF she’d wear an apron, first of all. But even if she did, I can’t imagine that she’d wear this one without a few modifications. Like giving it a v-neckline for some cleavage and shortening it by eight inches.
But this is another example of how Mimi’s Christmas empire continues to grow. Did you notice though? Mimi’s Christmas gift list has almost no green. Remember, a Mimi Christmas is red and white with some silver and/or gold accents here and there, but never, ever green.
