This is for Kathryn and those who are marking World MS Day on Sunday, May 30th, the same day the MS Society of Canada is doing its MS Virtual Walk. Canada has one of the highest MS rates in the world, and those between 25-40 are most often diagnosed. There is no cure but we can support the research that is underway that is helping those who live with the disease.

And please see attached – photos of Kathryn from her personal campaign. Kathryn wrote to me saying that, “When I first looked at my MRI initial scan, the multiple lesions in my brain jumped off the screen in white blobs - I said they looked like constellations. As such, stars have become a living metaphor for accepting the reality of this disease with a nod to positive whimsy. (Also, who doesn’t love a good star print?).”

I do love a good star print, Kathryn. And the next time I wear stars, I will think of you. Thank you for your positivity and your bright spirit – you are a star too.
