Meghan Sussex was in New York today, speaking a the TIME100 Summit in conversation with TIME CEO Jessica Sibley.
During the discussion, Meghan was asked to make a “confession”, playing off the name of her pod, Confessions of a Female Founder – via PEOPLE:
"A confession I can share with you today is that I'm the happiest I've ever been. To have a husband and a partner who is so supportive and kids who are healthy and happy, I never imagined at this point I would feel so happy and grateful, and I really do."
Meghan’s happiness is the British tabloids’ and the haters’ worst nightmare. They’ve put so much energy into making her miserable and, well, she’s not. As ever has finally launched, she’s back on Instagram living the influencer life she was born to live, unapologetically. It looks good on her. This Ralph Lauren suit looks good on her. And Prince Harry accompanied her on the trip.
Not sure how long she’s staying in NYC but she did mention during the summit that Prince Archie is about to lose his first tooth and that she’s hoping to make it home for it. So probably not long. Incidentally today is also Prince Louis’ birthday, he’s now seven, so I’m sure someone somewhere will try it with the accusation that the Sussexes were upstaging their nephew. As if they had anything to do with when TIME schedules their events.
Speaking of scheduling, tomorrow night is the TIME100 gala and if Meghan and Harry are rushing back for Archie’s milestone, chances are they won’t be in attendance, although it would be great if we could get another shot of her and Serena Williams who’s on the list this year. Also Blake Lively. Meghan and Blake in one frame, two women who’ve been relentlessly and nefariously targeted by the internet – it’s almost too dangerous, for their sake maybe we don’t actually want this.
What else happened today…
As just noted, Prince Louis is seven today and they’ve released a new photo. Louis is missing his front teeth, it’s cute, while his cousin is about to lose his first. (Celebitchy)
If you watch The Studio then you need to read this piece at Pajiba by “Melanie Fischer”, a fake name – and it’s fake because Melanie was actually a Hollywood assistant and is writing about how accurate the show actually is. Yes there is creative licence here but the behaviours? The insecurities and the ego and the competition? Legit. Also Pedro Pascal makes a cameo. (Pajiba)
The Fug Girls are talking about Sarah Hyland’s bra top but I LOVE this oversized jacket over the shorts and the main character here, for me, is the glasses. Oversize aviator spectacles, obsessed. (Go Fug Yourself)
Jon Bernthal is on promotion for The Accountant 2 and told Jimmy Kimmel this week that he and Tom Holland helped each other when they were auditioning for their MCU roles. In fact, Jon’s kinda taking credit for Tom becoming Spider-Man. (The Mary Sue)
I have not yet tried the mochi cleanser that’s been going viral but after reading this post I think I’m about to order it. (Mamamia)
