We knew that Michael Bae Jordan checks his DMs thanks to MBJ stan hero Sylvia Wilson. For the uninitiated, Sylvia slid into Michael’s DMs in May and got to meet him. At the time, I thought it was very kind and selfless of MBJ to answer a fan’s direct message and meet up to pose for a picture with her out of the kindness of his heart and not because he just wanted to hook up. Well, it turns out that MBJ is not above finding his hookups through his DMs.
Michael Bae Jordan was on Ellen promoting Creed II when Chrissy Teigen, another newly appointed MBJ stan hero, asked him flat out, “Have you ever hooked up via direct messages?” The question comes it at the 1:32 mark.
Add this entire exchange to the long list of reasons why we love Chrissy Teigen. I also love how there was no hesitation on MBJ’s part. He instantly reacted with “Yes, I have.” The “and I’ll do it again” was not said but very much implied. He’s human! He’s a 31-year-old single man who literally has millions of women at his fingertips. This isn’t a surprise. MBJ hooking up with people over DM is the 2018 version of every boy band member finally admitting they used to sleep with their fans. Imagine *NSYNC had Instagram? JC Chasez would have CLEANED UP. #JusticeForJC
It has to be said that, yes, sometimes when celebrities slide into their fans’ DMs, it’s gross. I don’t know what Michael’s lines are so I can’t say with full certainty that there isn’t any grossness to the way he does it but I know my man and he probably very respectfully asks women if they would like to go on a date with him like the true gentleman that he is. HA. The truth is I have no idea what MBJ’s DM game looks like because I never shot my shot.
After Sylvia made “sliding into MBJ’s DMs” a legit option, I asked y’all to help me come up with my opening line for MBJ. The only responses were of readers telling me that they wanted to shoot their shots with my man too. It wasn’t helpful. This is all your fault. I mean, that and the fact that I’ve been in a real relationship for seven years and attempting to cheat on my real-life man via “pulling a Sylvia” is too low for even me. Of course, I’m assuming that if I DID slide into MBJ’s DMs, he’d fall in love with me instantly. Of course.
The obvious question now is WHO ARE THESE WOMEN? If you have hooked up with Michael Bae Jordan because of a DM, first of all how dare you, second, please tell me everything.
