Dear Gossips,

Seems like any time Mickey Guyton is at an award show she makes history. She did it again last night at the Academy of Country Music Awards when she hosted. And, as award show hosts do, there were several outfit changes. My personal favourite of all of them is this one – white, one shoulder, loose but structured, with feathers tumbling down one side (it's the Ubud ivory feathered dress by Taller Marmo):

Along with the wardrobe, Mickey also had the wind machine going. Wind and more for her performance, as there was a choir too:

As you can see in the video below, the blue dress was a good choice with the wind gently blowing through those pieces coming off her shoulders:

Country music is certainly better for having Mickey Guyton. But for how long will they deserve her? And for how long will she be the only? On the plus side, Jimmie Allen and Kane Brown’s wins for Best New Artists and Video of the Year respectively are encouraging. Because the thing about making history sometimes is that it gets lonely. And the goal here is for all of these artists to have contemporaries.

Yours in gossip,

Lainey
