I just read a new Variety interview with Millie Brown. There’s no spoiler, if you’re like me and you haven’t started season 2 yet. As I mentioned last week, I’m too chicken sh-t to watch without Sarah guiding me through the scary parts. And she hasn’t finished yet so she can’t hold my hand through the scenes I have to either avoid or endure. Horror and scary jams are not my thing, sorry. While we’re at it, have you heard about the dudes who are camouflaging themselves as bushes to prank people in the park?
The police want them to stop and they’re being warned that they could be arrested. The bush boys claim that it’s only to make people laugh. Let me say this: I would not be laughing.
Here’s how I picture it: I’m a woman on my own, walking through the park. I’m just trying to go home. And two men jump out at me from behind the bush, dressed as the bush. My first thought isn’t, oh ha ha, what a great prank. My first thought is – oh F-CK, this is a predator, get me the f-ck out of here.
WHY WOULD THIS BE FUNNY TO ME?
In one of the photos of the dudes, there’s an unmarked van parked behind them.
WHY WOULD I BE LAUGHING AT TWO STRANGE MEN HIDING IN THE BUSH WITH A VAN IN THE BACKGROUND?
Here’s what would be funny though – if they tried that sh-t on someone with a Rottweiler. There. That’s funny.
Anyway, Stranger Things. Millie Bobby Brown. New interview. She says she’s thinking about doing some Broadway during her time off from Stranger Things. Why? Because of the Broadway schedule. Like 8 shows a week. If not Broadway, she’d like to write more. And volunteer more. As she put it:
“Hopefully I get to do that in the space of my relaxation.”
Remember, this is a 13 year old actor who’s been to over 25 fan conventions, in “the space of her relaxation”, to sign autographs and take pictures with people. Nobody is going to be mad if she’s like, nah, let me just kick it for a while and be a kid. But that is the question: does she know how to be a kid?
Here’s MBB in New York today, stomping like a showbiz veteran into AOL Build.
