Dear Gossips,
I was feverish on and off yesterday, tried to stay in bed as much as I could, and when I was awake, much of that time was spent binge-finishing the second half of Queen of Tears and sobbing my way through this cold. The series has now ended its 16-episode run and, in the process, has become one of the most-watched dramas in Korean television history, surpassing Crash Landing on You on tvN and consistently ranking in the top 5 titles for global viewing on Netflix.
And it’s not just me crying – it’s watching THEM crying, like on screen. I don’t know what they’re doing over there in Korea but even their tears are pretty, lol. I don’t mean their faces but the actual tears, like the moisture that comes out their eyes. Those f-cking teardrops are so perfectly shaped, plump and pillowy, and they glisten like they’re sentient and know how to find their light… and the effect of it is that you’re super sad while you’re watching them go through their troubles, you’re also like – what kind of sorcery is this where even their tears have beauty standards?!?!
Here's another Netflix recommendation: Dead Boy Detectives. I covered the junket for this show a few weeks ago for Netflix and this cast is delightful but I’m singling out Yuyu Kitamura because…

And that’s just the first time she appears on screen. The way her character, Niko, has been styled is so thoughtful and specific, but not obvious, it’s just such a delight, and also just one of the many delights of Dead Boy Detectives.
Get familiar because the memes from it are already exploding across social media.
