Sanjeeta! Happy Birthday! I hope you were surrounded by joy yesterday even though Saturday night was such a bummer. Of course there’s always next year but this year really was a gift. The Jays made baseball better, and while the ending wasn’t the one they were dreaming of, it doesn’t mean it wasn’t fun. The entire season was So.Much.Fun. The playoffs were the most fun, they were the most fun team to watch – according to even the American analysts. They’ve set the standard for what baseball can and should be for a whole new generation of baseball fans. Like, by all means, the superstars will superstar… but you need an Ernie Clement to make magic too. This was a team for the ages! Let that energy be what you take into your new year.
