The GLAAD Media Awards, hosted by Margaret Cho, took place last night at the Beverly Hilton where Bros, A League of Their Own, and What We Do In The Shadows took top honours. The Inspection also won the award for Outstanding Film – Limited Release, and both of its stars, Jeremy Pope and Gabrielle Union, were at the event. It was Gabrielle who presented Jeremy with the Stephen K. Kolzak Award which every year recognises a “LGBTQ media professional who has made a significant difference in promoting LGBTQ acceptance”. Previous recipients of this award include Michaela Jae Rodriguez, Janet Mock, Ellen DeGeneres, Laverne Cox, Sean Hayes, Jim Parsons, Wanda Sykes, Troye Sivan, Martina Navratilova, and more.
Future recipients may include Zaya Wade, who joined Gabrielle at the event and whose modelling career is taking off. She walked in the Miu Miu show during Paris Fashion Week and she just did a shoot for Dazed where the wardrobe featured a lot of Miu Miu so her relationship with the brand is clearly growing.
Zaya wore the white version on those Miu Miu boots to GLAAD. Gabrielle, meanwhile, was in Moschino and… ughhhhh….it’s SO GOOD. Like this is all I can manage with this look – just a series of grunts and moans because… well… it’s self-explanatory!
But Jeremy’s dripping, too! On the carpet it was a dramatic black suit with a red body sash.
Onstage there was a change – to a pair of more fitted pants, under a blazer cut out at the shoulders, half open back, and a very deep V as he continues to push the limits of what menswear can be.
And finally…I’m just throwing in some shots here of Bad Bunny, who was honoured with the Vanguard Award, because he’s so hot, I can’t stand it.
