Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem arrived in New York together in advance of the premiere tonight of Nine. It’s a rare sighting. Am happy. And though always guarded, they look happy too. Or relaxed. And still a couple. One of the sexiest couples. One of the most private couples. Very unlikely he’ll be with her at the event.

Remember it was Javier who was originally cast as Guido Contini? He dropped out due to exhaustion and DDL stepped in.

Anyway, Pene just received another Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress in Nine. She and my Marion Cotillard have been cited as the standouts in the film. As you know, P is the reigning Best Supporting Actress Oscar winner. There’s a good chance she’s going back.

Also, I have to have those boots.
