Let’s check in with Prince Andrew, who was friends with the dead rapist pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, because it’s been a few weeks since we’ve mentioned him. And he showed up on social media yesterday.
As you know, Andrew’s kept a pretty low profile since stepping down from royal duties back in November after his sh-tshow of an interview with Emily Maitlis on BBC Newsnight, during which he talked about his defective sweat glands, denied any knowledge of Jeffrey Epstein’s crimes, despite being photographed with one of Epstein’s victims, and promised he would cooperate with investigators on the Epstein case – which has not happened.
Because of that mess, any time Andrew does appear, it’s not an accident, unlikely to be spontaneous. So here he is, with Sarah Ferguson, prepping care packages for COVID-19 frontline workers and patients:
Antonia Marshall is Fergie’s assistant. And you’ll note, Fergie didn’t post these photos to her own social media channels. So this was meant to be low-key. Like, OMG, my boss and her ex, who are the most consciously uncoupled couple ever, are just such wonderful, kind, thoughtful people, look at them doing their part to help during this global health crisis.
Yes, of course, we should acknowledge acts of kindness. And I’m sure these care packages will be very much appreciated by the hardworking people at Thames Hospice and those they are treating. But also…
It’s also intended to be a good look for the Yorks, non? Let’s not pretend that social media can also be used for promotion and messaging. While the world focuses on containing the virus and flattening the curve, nobody is preoccupied with whatever it was that Prince Andrew was doing or not doing when he used to hang out with his friend, the dead rapist pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Understandable. There are lives to save and protect. I’m sure Prince Andrew can’t wait until everything goes back to normal again and that scientists can develop a vaccine and we can all go back to what we were doing before the lockdown. Except maybe the part where people kept asking questions about his relationship with the dead rapist pedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
