It’s Friday and the site open today wasn’t very “Friday”. In fact, it was a f-cking bummer. So here are some really, really cute photos of Prince Harry today participating in the Fit and Fed campaign in London at Central Park East Ham. The program provides kids with access to activity sessions in the summer – and, obviously, an opportunity to run and around the field with Harry. And eat sandwiches with him afterwards. I love how into it he is, especially when he’s talking to that little girl about lunch. Egg salad or tuna? I would go tuna.
I also love the shots where you can see the boy reaching up to ask Harry for a swing-around. Like, whatever dude, I don’t know what royal means, you’re tall, I want to spin. Pick me up already. That same kid looks like he was just crying either minutes before or minutes after.
Harry also visited with volunteers from the British Red Cross who are sorting donations in support of the victims of the Grenfell Tower tragedy. He was there for almost an hour and according to Kensington Palace:
Prince Harry wanted to visit the volunteers who have given many hours of their time to help sort through the huge number of donations made to the victims of the Grenfell Tower fire. His Royal Highness was moved to hear how generous the public and businesses have been in donating all kinds of items to those affected; he thanked the teams from the British Red Cross and the Royal Mail who have worked tirelessly to sort through the donations.
In other Harry news, he’ll be coming to Toronto in September for the Invictus Games. And it was confirmed yesterday that Melania Trump will be in attendance as well on her first international solo trip. So this is what we have to look forward to in a few weeks: photos of Harry and Melania.
