She was in town to promote The Secret Life of Bees, a film that is expected to contend during award season featuring Queen Latifah, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, Sophie Okonedo, and ugh, Dakota Fanning.

While Jennifer Hudson inspired some serious excitement around town all weekend, it seemed like the lady leader among the group was indeed Latifah, who spoke eloquently during the press conference and who had an entire roomful charmed by the end of the hour.

Latifah also stopped in at the IT Swag Lounge for a few gifts and to sign the Big Brother board. Photo is attached.
