I love a good pronunciation debate. You’ve probably heard of this by now? How do you say “squirrel”? It seems to be a matter of region. Americans mash the letters together and the English draw it out more. I’ve been trying to figure out if Canadians are somewhere in between – and I think that’s where I’ve landed. American’s pronounce it like it rhymes with “girl”. Canadians extend it a fraction longer. Like… SQ+WHIRL. Right? No? F-ck, now the entire word is starting to look weird. (Dlisted)
This is a nightmare. I couldn’t watch this video the entire way through. It’s Jason Sudeikis getting his hair cut on TV by Ellen DeGeneres and Olivia Wilde. Not that I don’t think he looks better with shorter hair but these two are not professionals! Leave these tasks to the professionals! Have I mentioned Jacek cuts his own hair? Because he’s too lazy and cheap to go to a barber now? I haven’t been married to someone with good hair in 3 years. (Cele|bitchy)
The FUG Girls aren’t into this pyjama suit on Angela Bassett whereas I, obviously, am all over it. Great choice to wear it with the corset. My only modifications would be that I would make the drawstring a different colour and I’d turn the pants into joggers. (Go Fug Yourself)
Brange…is actually still officially Brange because they’re not officially divorced yet. They’re getting closer and closer though. Something something about a bifurcated agreement that will allow them to formally end the marriage while still negotiating the terms so that can be single, free of each other once and for all. Prince Charles’s swimming trunks, with the floral print, are really on brand. (TMZ)
Today is the 15th anniversary of Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I know a lot of people who love this movie. I’ve never had a big attachment to is but this interview with Jim Carrey and Michel Gondry is a great read – and there’s some interesting gossip here too. Like I totally forgot Jim and Renee Zellweger were a thing! (Vanity Fair)
