Rachel Bilson and Tom Sturridge last night in New York at the Gen Art Film Festival screening of their Waiting For Forever which was shot forever ago and hasn’t, last I heard, found distribution. Which is a shame. Because it’s supposed to be adorable. And while Bilson, for some reason, is currently the biggest draw attached to it, Waiting is really a showcase for young Tom who apparently delivers a breakthrough performance. Rachel, as usual, well you can take her or leave her.

Except she did look very, very beautiful last night. Really pretty. And a really cute Preen dress that, yes, looks like a bra but on her is not obscene.

I worry about Tom though. And I love him. As noted last summer, I loved him after Pirate Radio/Boat That Rocked. But I worry. It’s not that he’s dishevelled. They always seem to be these days. It is mildly however because of his hair. I think I see some Jude Law happening there. Mostly though it’s his clammy face. And very small pupils. Maybe he’s very tired, maybe it’s the flu. But young actors have a lot of time to kill when they’re waiting for new roles. And at heart they’re all narcissistic, insecure creatures. Temptations are everywhere.
