Rita Ora has a new album to promote. Fashion, as we know, is a big part of promotion. We saw this done incredibly well recently with Margot Robbie on the Barbie press tour, and the theme there, duh, was Barbie fashion. Rita’s theme on her press tour seems to be… pants. With the exception of the great green tracksuit she’s wearing in this gallery, Rita’s trend is wearing one pair of pants that’s a combination of two pairs of pants. (Go Fug Yourself)

I posted about the strike in today’s open with a note about how buying movie tickets and continuing to watch and appreciate the work of the writers and the actors counts as support. Here’s Teresa Jusino’s piece on the experience of being a background performer and a union member and other ways people can support those who are striking. (The Mary Sue)

Guillermo Del Toro is making a Frankenstein movie…eventually. Guillermo is a multiple Oscar-winning director. People go see his films no matter who he casts, one of a handful of directors who can bring people into theatres on his name alone. Andrew Garfield, Mia Goth, and Oscar Isaac are part of the project. And the theme will be fatherhood, the third and final installment in his fatherhood trilogy. (Pajiba)

Meghan Markle went to the farmer’s market and my commentary on these photos is… respect. Because she took Guy, the beagle, with her. A beagle at the farmer’s market?! We have two beagles, they are hooligans at the best of times, but at a farmer’s market? Where there’s food EVERYWHERE?! This is a breed known for their noses. Some say that a beagle’s sense of smell is thousands of times stronger than a human’s. Which is one reason why beagles aren’t the easiest to train – because the smells overpower what they’ve been taught, they operate on instinct. At least that’s how my beagles work. Clearly mine are defective, though, compared to Guy. Because he looks like a very good boy and isn’t making a scene. Unlike my two punks who are chaos wherever they go. And if your answer to that is to judge the humans, in this case me and my husband – go ahead, don’t you think we know?! (Cele|bitchy)

The big Lionel Messi event happened in Miami yesterday as he now officially plays for Inter Miami which, as previously noted, is a HUUUUUGE coup for the team but also MLS. He’s already making an impact on the city as social media footage of him shopping at Publix a few days ago went mega viral. Messi has already reportedly increased the value of the club by at least 30% if not more. And he’s expected to do the same for the league overall. If you live in a city in North America with an MLS club, and I do, get ready… because when Messi comes to town, it’s going to be mayhem! (New York Times)
