This dress isn’t all that noteworthy. I am curious about the placement of the belt though. And I don’t hate it. I think the dress knows that without it, it would be boring. So the belt is an attempt at something a little offbeat. I dig it.
Mostly though, what’s pulling me to this look is the colour, the colour on top. It’s grey… that also reads chocolate, right? Maybe even purple in some angles. And so, so, so rich.
That’s what a good velvet can do. And this velvet has very fine stitching up and down the torso. Which is how it can pick up and reflect even more light, which is why it can change colour so subtly. I want a pair of pants in this colour.
