I’m finally getting back to wearing jewelry again. It was freeing at the start of the pandemic to rid myself of all style, but with hope (ish) around the corner, I’m getting back into accessorizing. It’s perfect timing too because I recently discovered an Indigenous brand called Copper Canoe Woman that I am so into.

The woman behind the brand is Vina Brown. She comes from a long line of weavers and beaders through her Haíłzaqv and Nuu-chah-nulth families. The M.O. behind Copper Canoe Woman is all about bringing beautiful, wearable jewelry that is infused with elements of ancestral elegance and strength.

From big gold statement ovoids to delicate moon-shaped earrings adorned with abalone, I’m having a hard time picking what my favorites are so f-ck it, guess I’m just gonna have to go ahead and buy a few pairs because there is so much to love.
