If you’ve been reading this column long enough you know I’m a hoop girl. The bigger the better in my books but in the last year or so I’ve been really drawn to that kind of more nubby, volume-pumped silhouette and the brand that is doing it right by me is Jenny Bird.
What I love about JB is that they have never and will never be trend chasers. After all these years Jenny designs for Jenny and it just happens to be that her style is beloved by the masses and celebrities too from Kendall Jenner to Lizzo.
The way Jenny marries structure with simplicity is a true art form – everything is so thoughtful and classic in its approach. You really get that heirloom vibe from each piece. I don’t know how she does it, but every time a new collection launches I die a slow death over all its beauty. And we are all in luck because her latest drop is straight aces. There is so much to love, but I have to say my favorites are the cushion and ribbed hoops.
Both of these styles are such a fresh take on the OG hoop, yet they still deliver high impact, high style, and a high rotation value.
Now, you might be thinking these bad boys will rip your ears right out, but I can attest to how super lightweight they are, not to mention how damn fine they look with any outfit. But sh-t, don’t let me stunt your style because within each new collection there’s a bounty to choose from. Earrings, bracelets, rings, and a chain selection that is hands down the best in the game. They actually recently launched a virtual chain bar that allows you to visualize your ideal stack like a champ in no time flat.
