I know I've never written about snacks or food and while I admit it's a bit off brand for this column....Oh well?

But stay with me for a sec because the reason why I have to tell you about MUMGRY is because a) it's Beyoncé Day today and b) MUMGRY was the only Canadian brand featured on Bey's "Black Parade Route" - a comprehensive index of black owned small businesses she launched on Juneteenth.

I'm telling you, these nut butters are the JAM.  Everything is handcrafted and ethically sourced using only the most supreme and simple ingredients. The founder, Lilian Umurungi-Jung has three kinds of flavours out right now and while Pistachio Chocolate Almond Butter was Beyonce's favorite, my pick hands-down is the Chocolate Peanut Butter.  It straight up tastes like Nutella but a healthier version, but not in that way people say it's healthy for you and then it ends up tasting like a sack of sh-t.

I chatted with Lilian a few weeks back for an assignment at my other job and let me tell you the power of  Beyoncé is REAL. That shoutout legit changed the trajectory of her business and in these uncertain times, especially as a Black woman trying to run a small business, that is even more powerful.
