This week I’m inching us back into “real” clothes. Not to say I’m not sticking with the theme of extreme comfort, I just think it’s important that we hold on to the hope that we might get the chance to see what the outside looks like one day. So today, I’m giving small business love to west coast designer, Nicole Purdy.
Her collection, aptly named The Collection, is simple, streamlined, and is born from that feeling you have after a day in the sun. You know, when magic hour hits and you feel like you should force everyone to see a picture of you on Insta? (Please refer to instagram.com/laineygossip if you need vain examples.)
The collection is small but mighty with each piece complementing the last. Everything from cropped frill tops to the perfect high-waisted trouser, the entire line, which is made of 100% Oeko-Tex certified French milled linen, is made to wear with ease. What I admire most about Nicole is that she just pours so much love into her creations. Each piece is designed, drafted, and made to order which means you can have her customize what works best for your body. You can choose the color, the inseam, the rise etc, so that way you’re not bound by generic size restrictions.
As of today she just launched a few new pieces along with some fresh colorways so go check out this one-woman show who is really making something special.
