I’m not a handbag whore. I don’t care about the latest or greatest. I don’t need a collection of different styles. And I certainly don’t want to spend a lot of money. I just want it to look real pretty and hold some stuff. But when I heard that Ela was doing a relaunch this month, all of a sudden I cared about all the things I just said I didn’t care about.

A little background about the brand: They are a Canadian label co-founded by one of the most good-looking couples on planet earth. It's actually annoying mostly because I've met them and they are also a damn delight. I digress.

Anyway, the brand has enjoyed mega success over the years. They became known for their lux leather goods and got a ton of Hollywood love from stars like Meghan Markle, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Lupita. Then this year they decided to pump the breaks, reassess, and relaunch. However, this time around they ditched leather and went with all sustainable, vegan materials.

I give them huge props for doing this because it was definitely a risk. But I'm telling you when you look at their new line...nothing, and I mean nothing, has been sacrificed. They still have the same great silhouettes, the quality is still on point (you wouldn't be able to tell it's not leather) but the big change is the price. Before these bags would have cost you three to five bills, but now everything is under the $100 mark with the exception of their large tote bags which are just over that cap. Come on. That is f-cking amazing.
