I do not baby talk with babies. I do, however, baby talk with my dogs. And, yes, sometimes if there’s someone around to hear it, I feel like an idiot. Science is now telling me that they enjoy it which I appreciate but I didn’t need science for the confirmation. I can see their faces, and the cute way they tilt their heads when I ask them in baby talk if it’s time for dinner, or if they want to go for walk. You know who also hates Halloween? My dogs. Everything is all f-cked up for them and dogs like structure! (Cele|bitchy)
Pajiba says this is the scariest post in the history of their website. I wouldn’t know, because the title of the post has automatically turned me off the post. But I’m sharing it with you because I know a lot of you like the scares and you might enjoy whatever scare they’re serving you. Once you find out though, I would appreciate you NOT telling me what it is, thank you. (Pajiba)
I don’t mess with Halloween but I do love a good black lipstick and black lipstick season extends beyond Halloween. If you’re looking to go super dark on your lips this winter, here are some good picks. (Refinery 29)
Kristen Chenoweth and Idina Menzel were in New York last night for the 20th anniversary of Wicked on Broadway and I love their outfits. Kristen’s dress is adorable and perfect for the season and for the production and this is just, no debate, a gorgeous coat dress on Idina. (Go Fug Yourself)
One of the biggest stories in Canada over the last few days is Buffy Sainte-Marie. I have not posted about it here but we are having a conversation about it at The Squawk if you’re interested in participating. Tanya Talaga wrote a great piece today about the Buffy situation and how “those who pretend to be Indigenous only distract from the things that really matter”. (The Globe and Mail)
