Why don’t I hate this look on Shailene Woodley?!? It’s red with feathers, two strikes for my palette.
It’s the pants. The pants make everything. They make the red totally bearable. They make the feathers bearable – more than bearable, actually. I quite like the combination of the feathers, pretending to be a top, cropped exactly at the right length to show off the top part of the pants, high waisted with a tie belt and also belted at the ankles. Would this have been better in another colour? I want to say yes but then every time I picture it in another colour – yellow, green, blue, pink, grey – none of that feels right. It probably has to be red. Maybe a darker red? Slightly? Without an orange base? Sure. Overall though, a solid outfit here. And excellent hair choice too.
