It’s the 20th anniversary of the movie this year. Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon are supposed to be doing some kind of Vanity Fair cover to celebrate it. No word on whether or not Harvey Keitel and Brad Pitt will participate. I hope so re: Pitt. After all, it did launch his career.

So the CMT Music Awards are happening tomorrow. Shania Twain and Taylor Swift were photographed in Thompson’s Station, Tennessee shooting a recreation of Thelma & Louise for the telecast. This, for some reason, cracked me up. And I’m not sure I can articulate why properly, or that I need to because...well... Shania Twain and Taylor Swift are recreating Thelma & Louise. Come on. It’s hilarious.

I’m assuming Shania is Louise and Taylor is Thelma? So... picture Taylor Swift holding up a convenience store? On a serious tip and back to the movie for a minute – go back and watch it if you haven’t in a while, and tell me you don’t want to cry every time Susan Sarandon and Harvey Keitel talk on the phone. Someone organise a screening. I want to come.
