What else would we be talking about this week on Show Your Work?

Because a fairy tale requires WORK. There was a lot of love on display when Prince Harry married Meghan Markle at St George’s Chapel in Windsor. But there was also So.Much.Work, so much impressive work, that went into it.

So for almost two hours (over the objections of Jacek), Duana and I get into the elements of the work:

We begin with logistics and the schedule, as I break down what it was like to be on the ground that day. Duana gets obsessed with the fancy ass vocabulary that we learned. We even get into missing flower crowns and how that relates to scheduling. And we analyse the seating plan and what who sat where meant and why. From there we go into the sermon and the performance selections and, of course, we talk about the celebrities and the media strategy. All that leads up to what the wedding and specifically Meghan’s wedding decisions tell us about the kind of royal she will be, the kind of work she will bring to being royal, and why, already, her royal work style is giving us such a hard-on.

As always, thanks for listening – and thanks for your feedback last night when we posted on social media that we were recording. Keep sending us your thoughts on Twitter @LaineyGossip and @DuanaElise. Here are those wristbands that Duana mentions on the show…
