Dear Gossips,
It was great seeing Sinead Burke sitting front row at the Gucci show in Milan yesterday and wearing Gucci, obviously. Sinead was also all over London Fashion Week last week. Here she is hanging out with Victoria Beckham:
And here she is at the British Vogue party – you’ll note in her caption that she’s all about Succession… and fashion, shouting out Daniel Lismore’s TED Talk about why clothes can be important and an extension of identity.
Speaking of British Vogue, that’s where I first knew of Sinead as she was one of the “Forces For Change” featured on the cover of the September issue, guest-edited by Meghan of House Sussex and when I wrote about Sinead last summer, many of you shared that that was also how you found about her. And her profile has, clearly, been steadily rising ever since with appearances on late night US talk shows, an interview with Vogue Brasil, on top of her previous partnership with Burberry, and now Gucci is obviously interested in working with her, oh and she was front row at Max Mara too.
This is not what the front row at a fashion week presentation used to look like. And it could, of course, be a lot more inclusion. But there is movement. And Sinead is part of it.
Yours in gossip,
Lainey
