It was announced a couple of months ago that Natalie Portman is the new face of Miss Dior Cherie. Her topless kitten ad is below. Now the commercial, directed by Sofia Coppola, has been released online. Her face is exquisite. Beautiful lighting. Typical Coppola atmosphere. But what’s it lacking? Something… I can’t put my finger on it. Chemistry with the boy? Or is it just me?

The timing however is perfect. We are 6 days away from what many expect to be Portman’s Oscar win. Oscar voting closes today and many believe she built up too big of a lead on Annette Bening.
