I tried not to read any shade in Prince William’s tribute to Prince Philip yesterday but a lot of people did, including some royal experts who say that his comment at the end was a “strong obvious sting” against his brother, Prince Harry. I mean…sure, if that’s how you want to see it, don’t let me get in your way. For me, if anything, it wasn’t necessarily a jab at his brother but there may have been a strong whiff of Timberlake “me-ness”. (Cele|bitchy)
Is this the celebrity scandal we deserve? Usher was accused of tipping exotic dancers with fake money – but it turns out the cash was legit and everybody got paid, and it was just a misunderstanding. Amazing how quickly this got cleared up. Like nobody in the Usher camp wanted us to think he would stiff people at a strip club. Honour restored. (Dlisted)
This might be the first time Keira Knightley was on a red carpet. The Fug Girls are estimating she’s about 16 years old here. So this was definitely a statement. (Go Fug Yourself)
How close are Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart. Do you believe they are best friends? Do you think they’re even friends? How well do they know each other? Does that even matter? Aaron Rodgers has entered the second week of his two week hosting residency on Jeopardy. So far he seems to be doing well – but well enough to be the new permanent host? This period of guest hosting has, as Claire McNear writes, has asked the show itself and its contestants to rethink the game. And this process is proving what we all knew: Alex Trebek cannot be easily replaced. (The Ringer)
