On the women’s wear side, the two most high-profile Louis Vuitton ambassadors are probably Zendaya and Emma Stone. Neither one was in Barcelona yesterday for the presentation of Nicolas Ghesquiere’s latest cruise collection. Emma was just in Cannes last weekend for the world premiere of Yorgos Lanthimos’s Kinds of Kindness and Zendaya? Well, Zendaya had other plans last night. As Sarah posted earlier, she chose instead to be in London to support her partner, Tom Holland, at the premiere of Romeo & Juliet. I’m not mad about this, and you probably aren’t either. But where LV and Zendaya’s ambassadorship is concerned, it feels like they’ll take as much of her as they can get – which isn’t as much as you would think, LOL. She didn’t even wear LV to the Oscars, arguably the biggest red carpet of the year. As the kids say, that is her power!
Without Zendaya and Emma, though, there were plenty of celebrities in attendance at the show yesterday. We’ll start with two people who almost always show up for LV: Sophie Turner and Jennifer Connelly.
Sophie’s hair is cut a little shorter now, blonde and shoulder-length, keeping with the trend we’ve been seeing for the last couple of months with more and more stars going lobbing – this isn’t longer than a lob but it’s definitely not as long as she’s worn her hair in the past. And for some reason, in this pink, with her hair styled like this, she’s looking a bit like Paris Hilton, right?
Jennifer Connelly, to me, has always been great at modelling the more interesting and edgier side of Nicolas’s designs and this is no exception. Obsessed with this leather vest and the asymmetrical skirt; I could do without the kitten heels but the full pointed toe on this shoe saves it from being a total loss.
While we’re here, though, can we talk about these new long bloomers that LV just put out? What did I tell you about bloomers?! It was literally at the beginning of the year and I said exactly this: “I love bloomers and I want them to be on trend”. Well.
Back to the celebrities – here’s Ana de Armas who has been quiiiiietttt for a while. Three years ago we couldn’t talk enough about Ana de Armas, and part of that was her relationship with Ben Affleck, but also because there was all kinds of heat around her career. That seems to have fizzled a bit, right?
This just in: she’s in Ron Howard’s new film, Eden, which just sold in Cannes and now the rumour is it will world premiere in Venice before making a big award season move. Eden also stars Jude Law, Vanessa Kirby, and Sydney Sweeney. Which is interesting because I feel like it’s Sydney who’s getting the hype that Ana was getting back in 2020-2022.
It’s also been a while since we’ve heard from one of my personal favourites, Saoirse Ronan. She was named LV house ambassador back in January and now here she is, looking soooooo good with that side part in a black shirt dress with the belt across the upper chest. I miss her. But there’s no rush. She’s starring in Steve McQueen’s next film, Blitz, a WWII epic. And since it will not be premiering in Cannes, the door is open for Venice or TIFF (hopefully!) or Telluride, which means major fall award season buzz.
You know who’s a stealthy style queen? Ava DuVernay. And you can see that here in this suede cape over a checked skirt. This look is straight up fire.
Regina King is also an LV regular, let us never ever ever forget the custom Louis Vuitton she wore to the Oscars in 2021 – we do not talk about this enough and that’s on us because this dress is a f-cking all-timer.

At the cruise show yesterday, Regina went in a different direction from everybody else – sexy, sequins, glamour, body!
And the most talked about, screamed about, celebrity arrival yesterday? Felix. The jacket is gorgeous. His face is… stupidly beautiful, howwwww is this much pretty even possible?! Those freckles make me insane.
