Rihanna this weekend went out twice in two nights for dinner at Giorgio Baldi, her favourite spot. And it’s not just that she was craving the gnocchi, it’s also that it’s been a while since Giorgio Baldi was shut down for a couple of months due to the fires. So RiRi’s return was in support of an establishment she has long patronised, possibly to make sure that people know to go back there. And by the way, on the first night, Saturday, she was there alone which actually isn’t new for her. Sometimes the best meal is the one you enjoy by yourself. I love this about her.
Actually, there’s so much to love about her. Like the caption on her International Women’s Day post, sharing photos from right after she was in labour with her two babies, RZA and Riot Rose. And noting that, yes, she gave birth in pearls and sunglasses, LOL.
Note too that her sons wore the same hat on their birthdays, it’s such a cute little detail. (Note from Emily: I let Lainey know that this is the standard hat given to babies at the hospital. She doesn't know sh-t about babies.) Still, some people will find any reason to complain – and there was a person who left an unnecessary comment that brought out, well, one of our favourite RiRis: clapback RiRi.
She doesn’t do it as much anymore but when Rihanna jumps into the comments, it’s always comedy. Her gift is in the brevity!
Two words that I promise you she didn’t agonise over – it was quick, spontaneous, and you can almost hear the tone in it because by now we’re all familiar with her personality. And you know once it was posted, she didn’t give it a second thought. She probably stopped thinking about it before she even hit the button. And now she’s moved on… to French.
Our site manager Emily saw this first and send it to me. “F-cking love her” is what she wrote – and I get it. For me, and I think for Emily, it’s how much fun it is to be around Rihanna. Or at least that it seems to be, and she’s maintained this image for YEARS. Rihanna is a blast that starts after midnight, LOL. This is why she’s always one of my answers to the dinner party with celebrities question. She’s the one who’ll make it a good f-cking time.
