This interview is an example of why Ayo Edebiri is beloved by people who are not super online and people are very online. With one answer she is demonstrating how smart she is, how clever she is, how entertaining she is, and how generous she is. Because whoever asked her that question is now part of a very viral moment – and that’s the bonus result for every interviewer but you need a celebrity who is willing to play along, be irreverent, but also not an asshole. Why all the internet’s boyfriends right now are Irish, and this includes Ayo Edebiri. (Vox)
In my post yesterday about the celebrities like Jennifer Lawrence and Natalie Portman at the Dior show at Paris Fashion Week, I noted that their outfits for Fall/Winter were kinda boring. The runway wasn’t at boring and there are some really strong autumn looks here… but they made a choice with the branding, wow. I think I dig it. (Go Fug Yourself)
Kayleigh Donaldson is asking a really great question about women and body hair in pop culture and I have to admit that I am not progressive when it comes to body hair – on women but also on men. Like I don’t want any hair on any part of my body except my head and above my eyes and I feel the same way about men. I’d prefer it if men only had hair on their heads and their eyebrows and get rid of the pit hair and the pube hair and the leg hair too. (Pajiba)
I wrote yesterday about Prince William bailing on his godfather’s memorial service and how the British royal family’s comms team is yet again showing its ass with how they’ve handled the extraordinary circumstances that have arisen over the last couple of months. Social media has exploded over this situation over the last 48 hours or so – and they have to be aware of it. It’s another PR disaster, and this time they really can’t blame it on Harry and Meghan. Wait, no, maybe I spoke too soon. (Celebitchy)
