Never mind the hair, this is a GREAT outfit on Heidi Klum – and another example of what I’ve always said about her street style vs her red carpet style. The red carpet choices are often…not it. But her casual wear, like this off-white jumpsuit is often excellent. Everything about this look is excellent, including that whatever that yellow thing is on her hip. A banana? (Go Fug Yourself)
Continuing with the model updates – here’s Paulina Porizkova, at 56, on the cover of Vogue CZ which is happening 40 years after her first Vogue cover in Germany. She also sounds like she’s having the best sex of her life. (Dlisted)
Demi Lovato wants to normalise living with your best friend and I fully support this. I had a few roommates back in the day but they were never close friends. They were, at best, casual friends. And I wish I could have had the experience with living with a best friend. It would have been the time of our lives. (Cele|bitchy)
“A few bad apples” is one of the arguments we often hear when people try to explain police brutality and the ongoing violence and murder committed on Black people by the police so that they don’t have to admit that the institution is racist – and Trevor Noah takes down the “bad apples” defence, like destroys it. The system is the problem. (Pajiba)
This is a really interesting piece by Alexes Harris about the possible financial motivation behind traffic stops in the US – which disproportionately disadvantage Black people, and can often lead to injury or death because, again, institutionalised racism. And if this is the case, and it’s money over lives, well, yeah. That’s basically history. (Vox)
