On January 23, 2018, Tiffany Haddish saved Oscar nomination day. That morning is too early and it’s usually too boring. Until Tiffany Haddish decided to turn it into an event. On Sunday, March 4, 2018, Tiffany Haddish saved the Oscars. She rescued the red carpet with her outfit, her sentimental tribute to her father, jumping over velvet ropes, getting in Meryl Streep’s way, being the best in every single interview, and, along with Maya Rudolph, becoming the best presenter of the night. And she wasn’t finished when the show finished. Her appearances at the parties and on all the talk shows also gave life to an Oscars that was a little short on personality.
As Duana mentioned in her Tiffany Haddish Oscar post on Monday, during Tiffany’s interview with Kelly Ripa, she casually mentioned that she and Brad Pitt made a pact to “do it” in a year if they were both still single after running into each other in an elevator. Did anyone really take this seriously? Who actually took this seriously? Why would you want to do that to her? After how hard she’s worked to get to this place, why would you want Tiffany Haddish to spend her capital on Brad Pitt? Brad last week was seen hanging out with Sean Penn and Bradley Cooper. Keep Sean Penn the f-ck away from Tiffany Haddish, God.
Anyway, this morning, Tiffany responded on Twitter to all the headlines about her and Brad:
So funny to me, it was a Joke but I Love how serious you all are. I want to be number one in a man’s life. he has a lot of kids that would make me what number 8 or at best baby Mama 2. And as much as I would love to chitchat with Angie that is not what I want to be talking about.

As Duana texted to me, it’s the perfect comeback. She’s practical, first and foremost. Because Brad does have a lot of kids. And she probably wouldn’t be the priority. It’s also funny. Because she then allows for the possibility, if this was actually a possibility, that she could have Brad’s baby. That part made me laugh the most. And then she tells us that she’s one of us – because as she suggests, the only reason she would get with Brad Pitt is for the Angelina Jolie connection. Or, sorry, “Angie”. She’s on a first name, nickname basis with “Angie” already, clearly.
One small note though?
Tiffany keeps referring to Brad having 7 kids. She needs a gossip consultant, an accurate one. I could be that for her. I would be anything for her.
