Luca Guadagnino’s Bones and All, starring Timothée Chalamet and Taylor Russell, opens this Friday. All three were in Milan this weekend for the premiere, coordinated in triple black on the red carpet.

Last week I posted about Taylor’s emergence this year as a new style star and here she is again, wearing the sh-t out of this McQueen jacket and pants combination.

And also matching Timmy not only in the colour but in the energy of their looks. As we first saw in Venice, at the Bones and All world premiere, their red carpet chemistry is electrifying.

That’s big rock star energy right there. They look like rock stars. And in Timmy’s case, he’s received like a rock star. That’s what happened in Venice back in September and it happened again in Milan this weekend, when the crowds got so big they scaled back the premiere because there were safety concerns

I said it then and I’ll say it again – Timothée Chalamet is the Movie Star of his generation. In her Allure cover story last week, Jennifer Aniston lamented that there are “no more movie stars. There’s no more glamour.” She may want to reconsider, because at a time when pop culture consumption is so fragmented and content is consumed on so many competing platforms, the fact that Timmy Chalamet has become so universally famous is a testament to his extraordinary movie star power.
