Today’s installment of my annual series “I Hate Halloween” features Jojo Siwa, who I like very much, but I dislike very much whatever it is that she did on Dancing With The Stars this week and I haven’t even watched it, I just saw the photo in the link here and clicked away. WHY?! Why do we have to do this year after year at this time? Why do we have to look at terrifying, obscene things? Why are their tombstones and limbs strewn all over the front lawns in my neighbourhood. Stop this! (Dlisted)

OMG Quvenzhané Wallis! Next year will mark the 10th anniversary of Beasts of the Southern Wild which opened in the summer of 2012 and went on to receive four Oscar nominations, including one for the film’s then nine-year-old star. And she’s 18 now! She’s an author. And she’s wearing an excellent outfit.  (Go Fug Yourself)

Andie McDowell talks about her decision to go grey and the pushback she got. The takeaway for me here is that it had to be a whole discussion with her team, like it seems like it was a committee decision re: her career – and I get it, with agents and managers going out and creating opportunities, that’s’ a reality. But… is this happening with male celebrities? (Cele|bitchy)

Have you heard Anya Taylor-Joy sing? Her singing voice sounds like her speaking voice. Sometimes a person’s singing voice surprises me – but Anya’s is exactly how I expected it to be. (OMG Blog)

Squid Game. A LOT of people have seen it – since it’s become Netflix’s most-watched series ever. Even if you haven’t seen it, it’s worth reading this interview with Hwang Dong-hyuk, the show’s creator. His reactions and answers are so refreshingly honest. You may have already heard about the back-and-forth he had with LeBron James but, honestly, there are way more interesting parts of the article. His reaction to the romance question cracked me up.
